Liv Enqvist is a textile artist based in the Northern Rivers, working on Bundjalung Country. Born in Stockholm, she has lived in Japan, France, Italy and the UK, with movement and place continuing to shape her practice. She has exhibited across Australia, the UK, Italy, Sweden and South Korea.

Working primarily with hand embroidery, her practice centres on slow, repetitive processes that build form over time. These processes often take on a meditative quality. Her work incorporates text, using language as both material and meaning, shaped by her experience across cultures and multiple languages.

Through stitching, she considers how making can return attention to the body and interrupt the pace of contemporary life.

Her recent work extends beyond the studio, exploring making in relation to landscape and place. This shift reflects an ongoing interest in the relationship between material, environment, and the act of making.

Alongside her studio practice, Liv has developed an ongoing body of collaborative and commissioned work with both individuals and brands.
